How to Make a Yummy Greek Salad!
A real Greek salad does not have lettuce, but instead uses tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, feta cheese and kalamata olives to make a refreshing summer side dish. Horiatiki salata, as it's known in Greece, often is served with crusty bread as a meal.

Things You'll Need
- 2 large vine-ripened tomatoes
- 1 cucumber, peeled
- 12 (or more) black or Greek olives
- 1 small red onion sliced
- Course ground salt
- Course or freshly ground pepper
- ½ to 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 to 3 tablespoons red wine
- Crumbled feta cheese to taste
- Large bowl
- Forks
- Individual salad bowls

Cut the tomatoes and cucumber into bite-size pieces and place in a large bowl.

Add the olives and onion slices. Sprinkle with oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.

Toss gently, then divide the salad into two large individual salad bowls.

Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Top with feta cheese and serve.
