How to Correctly Apply Bronzer Makeup
Bronzing makeup can highlight your face with a healthy glow -- if used correctly. Avoid a heavy-handed approach to applying any makeup, especially bronzer. An all-over brown mask is not the look to achieve. Apply bronzer correctly for a natural sun-kissed look that is glowy, not gloppy. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Powder bronzer
- Large natural-hair makeup brush
- Makeup sponges
- Light natural powder
Instructions
-
-
1
Apply foundation to a clean moisturized face, then finish with a light loose powder.
-
2
Use a large, natural-hair makeup brush to apply bronzer in strategic locations. Dust it on only in places where the sun would naturally hit your face -- the bridge of your nose, near the hairline and on the fleshy part of your cheeks.
-
-
3
Blend the bronzer well, using light strokes with a makeup sponge.
-
4
Dust translucent powder over the bronzer to set the makeup.

Tips & Warnings
Use bronzer as contour makeup to make a round face look smaller by applying it to the hollow of your cheeks.

You can find loose, translucent powder in just about every makeup line. Translucent powder is a "colorless" powder and it comes in a loose powder form or a compact powder form. My makeup preferences are Estee Lauder and Lancome, but you can get transulcent powder from Maybeline, Loreal or almost any drug store brand. -
