How to add contacts in a Verizon LG8300 phone

How to add contacts in your LG8300 wireless phone

1. Open the phone, then press the "-" button on the right side of the keypad (diagonal to the OK button). This will be the button directly below where it states "contacts" on your phone's screen.
2. Press "Options" (when it appears) in the same area.
3. Press "1." on the screen menu, New Contact, hit the "OK" button in the center.
4. Fill in the fields as necessary. Push the down arrow just below "OK" key.
5. You can also put in a picture and an email address; but this is optional.
6. To select characters to type in names, on the left hand side of the screen, make sure "ABC" shows. If you are typing numbers and want to switch, push the button below "ABC" and select "123."
7. Click the "Save" button when you are finished. This is in the center of your phone screen.

Tips & Warnings

• Push the "CLR" button below "OK" to go back a screen.
• Don't use the buttons on the left side of the screen except to change to letters or numbers when entering information into the the fields.
• You can use this as a portable address book and a pseudo backup of your email addresses if you fill in the email field.
• You can enter all the phone numbers for a single contact in the fields (cell, work, home).
• Be as accurate as possible for future use in names if you would use voice activated dialing.
• If there are two contacts with the same first name use a last initial or entire last name.
