Hangover Survival Kit

A hangover survival kit would come in handy for many college students and single friends who love to party. You can easily make a hangover survival kit yourself and add your own touches. Here's how to make a hangover survival kit; if you think of anything else, please leave a comment at the bottom of this article and mention what you'd add to your hangover survival kit.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Carrying case or bag
  • Water bottle
  • Aspirin
  • Sports drink
  • Tomato juice
  • Wet wipes
  • Extra items

Choose a bag, carrying case or purse to contain your hangover survival kit. A small knapsack works well. Be sure it is large enough for the items you will include in the hangover survival kit.

  2. Step 2
    Add Water

Add water bottles. Since you never know when the person will use it, only add bottled water, and not tap water in bottles, to the hangover survival kit.

  3. Step 3
    Asprin helps
    Asprin helps

Include some Aspirin or Ibuprofen in your hangover survival kit. Don't include Tylenol as that interacts negatively with any alcohol left in the system. Include a note taped to the bottle with instructions that note how many to take at a time. Ibuprofen is better taken the morning after the party, if a headache has set in.

  4. Step 4

Add some canned tomato juice, a sports drink and some snack mix to the hangover survival kit. These are good ways to replenish electrolytes and nutrition after a hangover.

  5. Step 5

Put some paper towels, wet wipes or a hand towel in the hangover survival kit, especially if there is a chance the recipient will be away from home while recovering from the hangover.

  6. Step 6

Include a book of hangover remedies; see suggestions under Resources, below.

Tips & Warnings
  • Include a personal "feel better" note in the hangover survival kit.
  • Include a list of what is in the kit so the recipient can easily replenish the hangover survival kit after use.
  • If the recipient is a frequent user of the survival kit, consider adding a brochure for AA or MADD.

on 2/5/2008 Great advice on putting together a hangover 'cure'. There are many more methods for treating hangovers. But, I won't mention them all here. Have a great day!

on 12/9/2007 I've always "heard" that the coolness from hugging the side of the "white porcelain throne" was quite soothing, but who knows, perhaps this would work better for someone who drinks today.
