Use a technical brief to outline the plan for your technical project. The brief lists the project objectives, the plan, the technology needed and the people involved in the project. Organize a technical brief so your readers can scan it and find all the main points of your project with ease.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Choose a title that reflects your project content. Use the words "Technical Brief" in the title. Center the title at the top of the page and use a large font so it stands out. Include the date near the top of the page with the title.
Step2
Organize your main points under the title in an attractive easy to read format. Use a separate paragraph or section for each main point. Use an attractive font that is easy to read.
Step3
Use topic headings for each important section of your technical brief. Use a bold font that stands out but use a smaller font than you used for the main title.
Step4
Write clear concise paragraphs outlining the project parts. Use separate paragraphs for each part. Include the person in charge of each section, the steps needed to complete the part and the date the part should be completed.
Step5
Use lots of white space between paragraphs. White space helps allows the reader to scan for information without having to read large chunks of text.
Step6
Use charts and diagrams to describe or demonstrate points. Visual pictures are sometimes easier to understand than blocks of text.
Step7
Describe terms in a section at the end of the technical brief. Include resources in case readers need more information.
