How to Recite the 10 Plagues of Egypt
The 10 plagues of Egypt are described in the book of Exodus, Chapters 7 to 12. God inflicted these plagues upon Egypt to convince the Pharaoh to release the Israelites. The story of these plagues is told at each Passover during the Seder, a ritualized dinner. The following steps will show how to recite the 10 plagues of Egypt.

1
Stage the Seder on the first night of Passover. Jews outside of Israel also have a seder on the second night of Passover. The Seder is divided into 15 parts and the plagues are described in the Magid, "the telling."
-
2
Recite the 10 plagues during the "Go and Learn" portion of the Magid. This part elaborates on the 4 verses in Deuteronomy (Chapter 26, Verses 5 through 8) that describe the freedom of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.

-
3
Explore the meaning of these verses and embellish this story through the Haggadah, an instruction manual for the Seder. This part ends in the enumeration of the 10 plagues. They are blood, frogs, lice, wild animals, pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the killing of the firstborn.
-
4
Remove a drop of wine from your cup as the 10 plagues are recited. This symbolizes that this occasion is not completely joyous because of the suffering involved. Spill a drop of wine for each word of the acronym "D'tzach Adash B'achav."
-
5
Conclude this part of the Seder by singing songs of praise, including Dayeinu.
