Step 1
Out of the Visitor Center take a right on Race Street and drive 45 minutes up to Hurricane Ridge to take in the awesome views from this sub-alpine location.

Step 2
From the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center view the spectacular Olympic Mountain range. Take a short walk to the Victoria Overlook where you can see all the way to Victoria, Canada.

Step 3
Hike the High Ridge Trail for 3.8 miles to the Klahane Ridge through sub-alpine and alpine ecosystems. The trail begins at the northeastern corner of the parking lot.

Step 4
Drive to the Hurricane Hill trailhead. Hike this trail for 1.6 miles to the top of Hurricane Hill. Marvel at the alpine vistas and the Elwha Valley below. Watch for deer, mountain goats and even a black bear feeding in the meadow. At the top of Hurricane Hill you have a 360 degree panoramic view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Canada and the Olympic Mountains.

Step 1
Out of the Olympic National Park Visitor Center take a left on Race Street then a left on East Lauridson Boulevard. At the end of East Lauridson Boulevard take a left on Route 101.

Drive west about 15 minutes then enter on the left at the Elwha access road. Drive for 5 minutes to the entrance gate.

Step 3
Just past the gate on the left lies the parking lot to Madison Falls. Take this wheelchair accessible path through old growth forest to a picturesque waterfall.

Step 4
Drive back to Route 101 and continue westward for another 20 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the shore of Lake Crescent. Exit right at the Olympic National Park Storm King Ranger Station to access the Marymere Falls trailhead.

Step 5
Hike through the pristine forest for 0.9 miles along the Marymere Falls trail to a magnificent 90 foot waterfall. The trail is easy with only a 400 foot elevation gain.

Step 6
After the Marymere Falls hike, return to Route 101 and travel west around Lake Crescent then up a hill. At the top on the left is the entrance to the Olympic National Park Sol Duc Area. Take this road for about 15 minutes to the end and the trailhead to the Sol Duc Falls.

Step 7
Hike 0.8 miles along this old growth forest trail to the thundering cascades of Sol Duc Falls.

Step 1
Out of the Olympic National Park Visitor Center take a left on Race Street then a left on East Lauridson Boulevard. At the end of East Lauridson Boulevard take a left on Route 101.

Step 2
Drive west for about 1 hour to the junction of Route 110, take a right on Route 110 then drive about 11 miles. On the right is Mora Road. Take this road to the parking lot at Rialto Beach in the Olympic National Park.

Step 3
Climb over and around beach logs cautiously and hike and beach comb up and down this scenic rugged beach for several miles. Witness the awesome dominance of the sea stacks.

Step 1
Out of the Olympic National Park Visitor Center take a left on Race Street then a left on East Lauridson Boulevard. At the end of East Lauridson Boulevard take a left on Route 101.

Step 2
Drive west for about 2 hours to the sign for the Hoh Rain Forest. Turn left on the Upper Hoh Road and drive about 18 miles to the Hoh Rain Forest in the Olympic National Park.

Step 3
Stop at the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center and study the exhibits so you will notice and appreciate the unique features of a temperate rain forest.

Step 4
From the Visitor Center hike the 1.2 mile Hall of Mosses Trail and/or the 0.8 mile Spruce Nature Trail. Stand in awe at the “Middle Earth” nature of the temperate rain forest with gigantic trees, moss draped branches and ground cover of a plethora of ferns and other plants.
