With the big movie debut of "Sex and the City" upon us, planning a Sex and the City party could be very exciting. Gather a group of your girlfriends together, throw on some party dresses and celebrate this phenomena that empowered women everywhere. Read on to learn how to plan a Sex and the City party.

Things You'll Need:

Cosmopolitans
Champagne
Sparkling cider
Snacks like fruit, dessert plates and shrimp cocktail
Favorite season of Sex and the City on DVD
Sex and the City trivia written on note cards
One DVD Box Set of the Sex and the City DVD Collection
Sex and the City movie posters
Four picture frames
Pictures of the cast
Martini glasses

Step 1

Create your own Sex and the City trivia Game. On note cards, write questions like: Where did Carrie and Mr. Big meet? What is Carrie's Favorite Drink? To make the game fun and competitive, have a grand prize like the Sex and the City DVD Collection or a season of the series on DVD.
Step 2

One week before the party, send out a swanky evite to your friends to get them excited about the soiree. Let them know that they should amp up their Sex and The City trivia if they want to win an exciting grand prize at the party.
Step 3

Put up a few Sex and the City posters around your living room. Frame pictures of the cast and put them around the food and drink table.
Step 4

Place an array of martini and champagne glasses and snack trays on a table. Then, turn on your TV and play the Sex and the City DVD of your choice. When guests arrive, pour the drinks they request into the glasses and direct them to the snack table.
Step 5

After your guests have had time to drink and snack, start the trivia game.
Step 6

Once you have completed the game, give your grand prize to the winner and watch the remaining episodes of your Sex and the City DVD.
