Things You'll Need:
- Dive light
- Spare batteries
- Spare dive light if you are going night diving
- Clip to secure your dive light
-
Step 1
Start your hunt for the perfect dive light at your local dive retailer or online. There are a variety of sizes and shapes.
-
Step 2
Choose a light that fits your diving style. Streamlined or bulky? LED versus Halogen. Small versus large. Bigger is not always better in the world of dive lights. With bright new bulbs and powerful batteries, you can achieve just as much power in a smaller package.
-
Step 3
Once you have your light and a clip, practice clipping it to your BC. Learn how to easily turn your dive light on and off.
-
Step 4
Time to explore! Clip on your light, turn it on once you hit the water, and dive, dive, dive!

on 6/3/2009 If diving at night or inside wrecks, consider taking 2 lights so you always have a backup should your main torch fail. Also invest in a decent clip, I've ssen many £100 torches sink to the depths due to the failure of a £2 clip.
