Instructions

      Enter "label:unread" in the Gmail search bar. Click "Search mail." Only unread emails from all categories will populate the page.

      Type "is:unread" into the Search box and click "Search Mail." Your unread emails from your entire email box will be listed.

      Click on the arrow next to the small check box in the far left of the Menu bar at the top of your email Inbox. From the drop-down menu, highlight "Unread." This highlights and selects all the unread emails from your Inbox only and places a check mark in the empty boxes to the left of each email.
