1. Use the proper kind of cleaner in order to clean a tanning bed without damaging it. Most tanning bed manufacturers supply a particular type of acrylic cleaner with a new tanning bed. When this is gone, you should always purchase more. It's not recommended to use any regular type of cleaner on a tanning bed because of the special type of finish on the tanning bed and equipment.

2. Mix the special cleaner according to directions. This is usually about a capful of the cleaner put into a quart-sized spray bottle filled with water. The cleaner is highly concentrated and goes a long way. The cleaner will not only clean the tanning bed, but also disinfect and deodorize it.

3. Spray the surface of the bed with the cleaner. To clean a tanning bed well, you must be sure to cover all the area where skin touches. This is to make sure that it's disinfected properly. Disinfecting is especially important if you work in a tanning salon or use a tanning salon. Of course, a tanning bed should be cleaned after each use.

4. Clean the lamps and reflectors (both sides) also when you clean a tanning bed. It's important to keep them free of dust and dirt in order to make sure they stay in good working order and are sanitary, too.
