Frozen foods hit the grocery stores in the early 1930s after Mr. Birdseye himself invented this precious commodity. More than 50 years later, the frozen delights got their own special holiday. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan made the chilly announcement that March 6 is officially Frozen Food Day. He called upon all Americans to "observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities."

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Start your Frozen Food holiday with a cold breakfast treat. Whether you are looking for a healthy alternative or the best tasting frozen breakfast out there, there are billions of dollars worth of frozen foods waiting for your breakfast table. Try an organic frozen breakfast like Amy's Kitchen Breakfast Tofu Rancheros. Or, if you don't care if it's organic, try Ego waffles and some frozen OJ. Once you have had your fill, get lots of exercise because lunch is waiting for one hungry person.
Step2
Celebrate Frozen Food Day by leaving your leftovers outside for the night. Now, do not follow this step if you live in Florida, California or any other location that is warm on March 6. This is a tasty snack for any New Englander who braves the cold of a March 5 night. Simply bring the treat in after sunrise. Pop it in the microwave and eat your frozen to gourmet meal.
Step3
Eat a frozen lunch. Now that you are freezing from searching the freezer for the crystallized breakfast starter, dip back into that old freezer for some more frozen holiday fun. Find one of those TV dinners. You know, the one you bought when your spouse went out of town and you had to pretend like you were being forced to eat a frozen 1500 calorie dinner because you don't know how to cook. Yes, the same one that is still in there because you shoved it deep undercover when the Domino's Pizza man rang the doorbell.
Step4
Indulge in some ice cream or one of the other wide variety of frozen desserts available in your supermarket. Help the US remain the frozen dairy foods leader by eating an extra scoop. If you are still not sure how to celebrate National Frozen Food Day with desserts, order the Frozen Dessert Magazine. Simply follow the link in Resource below and you are on your way.
Step5
Make frozen food crafts like a pea necklace using a large needle, thread and a clasp. Bead the peas with the needle and thread. Drape the necklace around your bare neck and enjoy the chilly sensation as you enjoy National Frozen Food Day!
