How to Resize Pictures Using IrfanView

Irfanview is a free program that you can download off the Internet. It allows you to view pictures and make simple changes. If you don't have picture viewing software, Irfaview provides an easy way to view and alter digital photos on your computer.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Log onto your computer and open up IrfanView program.
2. Locate your picture on your computer by clicking "File," and then "Open." Select the picture that you would like to resize.
3. Select "Image" in your top toolbar, and then click, "Resize/Resample."
4. Set the new size of your picture by typing in a height and width. When you are finished, click the "Okay" button.
5. Save your resized picture as a new file name. For example, you can name it, "picture02" or "pictureB." Keep your original picture in case you want to use the the image in its former size.
