Step 1
Pack extra hot dog buns into the bun warmer. Don't put in the same number of buns as hot dogs. Buns can sit all day and stay fresh.
-
Step 2
Check that the bun warmer has proper ventilation. There should be enough steam to keep the buns soft without getting them wet.
-
Step 3
Add water to the fill line and be careful not to overfill. Bun warmers are simple mechanisms. Once the water is added, the bun warmer can be forgotten until the "add water" light comes on.
-
Step 4
Clean out the crumb drawer. Crumbs accumulate gradually and should be continually removed. If a bun crumbles in the warmer, remove it and tidy up the machine immediately.
-
Step 5
Practice good hygiene when handling the buns. Do not over-handle the buns. Simply remove the buns from their wrapper and add them to the warmer. Wearing thin, transparent plastic food gloves is a good practice.
