How to Detect BS
Little white lies--everybody tells one now and then, for a variety of reasons, and in a multitude of circumstances. The reality is that a little lie now and then can help when trying to avoid conflict. But BS is one step up from a little white lie and can cause deception and mistrust. Whether in the workplace, in the home or in life in general, learning how to detect BS is an important means of self-protection.

1
Force the person to admit BS when you feel they may be full of it. Challenge them by simply saying you don't believe it. Most people are accustomed to going unquestioned and may admit their own BS, saying it is just their opinion. Others may stutter while trying to make up some BS information that will reinforce their claim.
-
2
Find a counter argument to detect BS if you continue to have doubt. If the person has thoroughly thought through and researched what they are talking about, presenting counter arguments will prove that what they are saying stands up. However, if a person has nothing to say in response to a counter argument, you may find that they are full of BS.

3
Look for physical indications that someone is feeding you BS. If the person has trouble looking you in the eye, begins a nervous twitch such as touching his nose or ears, playing with his hair or saying "Um" in every sentence, your BS detector should be going off on high alarm.
-
4
Wait to pass judgment and BS will soon become apparent. Any person who is skilled in the art of BS knows that they must convince you to make a snap decision or believe them quickly, because like magic tricks, BS will not hold water overnight. A quality thought or idea will still be good the next day, however BS, when contemplated, discussed and examined will not withstand the test of time.

not very useful for some. As a practiced liar, o can basically pull off most, if not every lie i tell. Its more of turning yourself off to morallity. I have actually acheived a state were i can switch between having a coinsciouss and not haveing any morals. SO BEWARE of anyone like me. -
