How to Make a No-Sew Fairy Costume
The most exciting part of Halloween for some people is picking out their costumes. Making a no-sew fairy Halloween costume is a wonderful idea for those who aren't handy with a needle and thread or for those ready to be creative. The no-sew costume looks just as splendid as a store-bought or sewn costume.

1
Buy 3 or 4 yards of tulle to begin your no-sew fairy costume. You may want to get a few colors to compliment your costume. To create a fairy look, consider using vibrant colors such as peaches and teals. Consider buying some tulle with sparkles or shimmer.
-
2
Purchase a magic wand at your local dollar store or craft store.
-
3
Get a skinny, elastic headband to make the waistband of the no-sew fairy skirt for the costume. This is much easier than measuring and securing pieces of loose elastic.
-
4
Use scissors to cut the tulle into strips that are 3 or 4 inches thick. You want the strips to be just about 3 feet in length to create the no-sew fairy costume.
-
5
Begin cutting the strips and knot the strips tightly around the elastic headband. Place the 2-foot length strip around the elastic headband so that it's halved. Begin to tie the tulle so that the knot around the headband creates two floating pieces of the no sew tutu for the fairy costume. Repeat this until the strips are all around the elastic headband. The tutu should be full and flowing.
-
6
Put a flowing lacy top on to compliment the no-sew fairy skirt.
-
7
Accessorize the no-sew fairy costume with some beautiful new shoes and some fairy wings.
-
8
Dress up the young girl in her fairy blouse, no-sew fairy skirt, magic wand and wings. She will be the prettiest fairy of all.
