Go through your favorite comic books and look for monster drawings that you like. Make a list of the different features of the monsters you like for ideas.

Doodle a few drawings of monsters. Try illustrating different features that you find scary, do a whole page of eyes, mouths, arms, legs, hair, etc., until you find a combination that works for you.
