Use Aloe Vera for Detoxification

Aloe vera has long been heralded for its healing properties externally, but you may not be aware that aloe vera can also heal your body from the inside. Aloe vera has many ingredients that neutralize toxins, clean the colon, stimulate cell regeneration, support your immune system and boost energy levels.

    Instructions

      • 1

Consult your doctor before beginning a detoxification regimen. You should be in good health.

      • 2

Purchase aloe vera detoxification products online or at a local health food store. Aloe products are widely available and generally affordable.

      • 3

Start your detoxification with a small dose of aloe vera juice. Different levels of concentration have different recommended doses, but starting slow will allow you to determine if you are vulnerable to any side effects without feeling the full brunt of those side effects. The recommended starting dosage for most juices is 25 ml. once or twice a day.

      • 4

Expect frequent trips to the bathroom. The colon is one of the main collectors of toxins in the body, and aloe has a laxative effect that loosens the toxin buildup and flushes it though your system.

      • 5

Repeat aloe vera detoxification periodically to keep your immune system strong and your body free of toxins. Aloe vera is generally safe to use whenever you feel the need to detoxify.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Choose whole-leaf aloe vera products to get the maximum benefit of the aloe nutrients. These products use the whole plant instead of just the clear sap.

    • Some aloe vera products only have a small percentage of aloe in them. Look for a product that states it has at least 90 percent aloe vera.

    • If you want to increase your dosage of aloe vera juice, take it more frequently each day instead of increasing the amount of each dose.

    • Mix aloe vera juice with water or fruit juice to make it taste better. Cranberry juice is a popular choice for mixing.

    • Take aloe vera latex capsules if you can't stomach the aloe vera juice.

    • Aloe vera has some side effects when taken orally. For detoxification purposes, aloe vera has to be taken for only a short time.

    • Don't attempt to detox if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
