Bejeweled 2 is a new take on a classic matching game that offers some new ways to challenge your skills. Like many online games, Bejeweled 2 can either be played online with others or downloaded and played solo. If you liked the first Bejeweled and want some more, check it out!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1

The first step to playing Bejeweled 2 is to match up three, four or five jewels in a row. Three jewels in a row will clear them, four will create a Power Gem that if used, will explode and clear a large area of jewels. Five jewels in a row will create a Hyper Cube that, when combined with a certain color of jewel, will clear all jewels of that type from the board.

Step2

Use your Hyper Cubes well. Knowing when to use the Hyper Cube is important. See if you can create any further rows of jewels when you clear your color of choice. If you’re careful, you can create a huge chain of jewels that can propel your score through the roof.

Step3

Try Puzzle Mode. This mode gives you specific jewels in specific orders and requires you to clear them all. The first few are relatively simple, but the puzzles get progressively more complex as you go along. Downloading the game will provide you with more puzzles to solve.

Step4

Use the Undo button if you find yourself stuck and unable to continue. This will probably happen at least once on some of the harder puzzles unless you’re really good.

Step5

Play Action Mode if you like to add an imperative to your game. Action mode is just like Classic mode, except that there is a time limit. The idea is to clear as many jewels and rack up as high a score as possible before the time runs out. The bar at the bottom indicates how close you are to completing the level. When the bar hits the far left end, you’re out of time!

Step6

Work fast. Action Mode is all about making high-power moves very quickly. It will probably take some practice, but you’ll get it after a little while.
