How to Plan a Beauty Pageant

• Money
• Sponsers
• Time
• Volunteers

1. Advertise:
   If you want contestants you must advertise. Newspaper, radio, online, or word of mouth.
2. Contestants:
   Make an application so that you can get an idea for the type of contestants you want for your pageant. Make a deadline for when you want applications to be turned in.
3. Select a venue for you pageant :
   Select your venue on how many people you think will show up.
4. Find volunteers:
   Pagents are a long process and you dont want to pay for all your help.
5. Find Judges:
   Who is going to judge your pageant? You can choose former or current title holders, community leaders or anyone you think that would be an expert
6. Meals:
   Depending on how long your day is you may want to plan meals for your contestants and specaial meals or accomidations for your judges.
7. Prizes:
   This could be a varitey of things. You must have a crown, sash and trophy. Other than that you can award prize money (scholarship), spa packages, resources to modeling contrats etc.Your sponsors can help with the prizes your options are endless.
8. Entertainment:
   You will need entertainment for the down time when contestants are getting ready for the next scene.

Tips & Warnings

• This type of large event requires lots of planing, but once you finish with your first event your next one should be a breeze.
• The event can be as large or a small as you want it can last for a weekend or just one day.
