on 10/25/2007 Great tips, John! I would also recommend pro-actively obtaining CPR and First Aid certifications. Also, if you own a business or you frequently welcome high-risk folks into your home, invest in an AED. They've come down in price significantly in the past few years. Finally, my EMS buddies recommend programming the number of someone to call in the event of an emergency into your cell phone (e.g. you're unconscious). This number should be labeled as ICE for In Case of Emergency.
