Many people are prone to turning red after consuming alcohol, particularly Caucasians and Asians. There are a few easy steps you can follow to prevent this from happening and keep you looking great in those party pictures!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Food
  • Antacid (Pepcid, Tums)
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Eat a full meal before you plan on drinking. It gives you something to absorb the alcohol in your stomach.

  2. Step 2

Take an antacid, such as Pepcid, 30 minutes before you drink alcohol. This is key in eliminating redness.

  3. Step 3

Pace yourself. When you consume alcohol too quickly, it will hit you all at once and you will turn beet red in no time.

  4. Step 4

Try not to do anything too active that will get your heart pumping and blood rushing. Since your blood is flowing faster, the alcohol will get absorbed much quicker and the effects of the alcohol will be carried throughout your system faster and stronger.

  5. Step 5

Drink lots of water throughout the night to help dilute the alcohol in your system.
