Fantasy players have their ups and downs and chances are, over the course of the season, you're going to want to give someone the boot. Maybe you've made a trade, or maybe there's just someone better out there. Whatever your reason, you can drop a player in a Yahoo! fantasy league with ease and in many ways.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Select the "Drop Players" menu from your team page. Check the box of the player you want to drop, click on continue and click "Drop Player."
Step2
Click on the "Add Players" link on your team page if you would like to drop a player and add a new player simultaneously. Find a player you wish to add, click on the green plus sign. Then, check the box of the player on your team you wish to drop and hit "Continue." Confirm the move and click "Add this player."
Step3
Drop players in conditional situations, such as waiver claims and trades. In a waiver claim, you will have to select a player to drop if the claim goes through. If you are trying trade for more players than you are getting back, you will need to select a player to drop if the trade is accepted.
Step4
Check your roster to make sure your changes went through. You should also be able to see your drop on the transaction list on the main league page.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some players may be on the Can't Cut List. This is reflected by a red "stop" symbol. Yahoo! employs this feature to keep fantasy owners from dropping good players.
