A Sim's charisma skill is useful when it comes to certain careers. It definitely comes in handy for those Sims involved in business and politics. It'll also help make your Sim the life of any party, as Sims are more likely to laugh at the jokes of someone with high charisma. There are many ways to build your Sim's charisma skills.

Practice speaking into the mirror. To do this, direct your Sim to the mirror, click on it and select "Practice Speech." Your Sim will spend time talking into the mirror with animated vocal tone and hand gestures, all the while building charisma skill.

Use the mirror to practice romance. Click on the mirror and select "Practice Romance." Your Sim will build charisma skill while making "come hither" looks into the mirror and speaking flirtatiously.

Putt with the Execuputter, a business career reward object. Once a Sim reaches level five in the business career track, she has earned the Execuputter and can place it anywhere on her lot. Use the "Putt" interaction to build charisma skill and satisfy fun at the same time.

Get the Enterprise Office Concepts Bushmaster Tele-Prompter and use it for charisma skill-building. This object can be acquired when a Sim reaches level five in the politics career track. Sims can use it to "Practice Speech" as they do with the mirror; using this object also increases a Sim's fun level.

If you have the Seasons expansion pack, you can use the "I Object" Litigator Podium, which is a reward object in the law career track, to build charisma skill. You can also build charisma skill by studying from the Bookshelf First for Learning: A Bookshelf of Education, which is a reward object in the education career track.
