How to Select Pictures for a Business Brochure

Brochures can be a wonderful marketing tool for your business. Use them to promote your business, introduce your products or services or showcase a special event. Most business brochures are printed in full color with plenty of pictures to project a professional image. Selecting the right pictures to use in your brochure will make a good impression on your customers.

1. Bring black and white pictures to the printer for use in your business brochure. Black and white pictures will make the best copy for printing even if the final product is going to be in color. If your brochure will be in color, also bring a color copy with you so the printer will know what colors you want.

2. Use professional photos if possible. If taking your own photos for use in the brochure, take more pictures than you intend to use so you can choose those that come the clearest.

3. Avoid using any pictures that will quickly date your brochure causing you to have to print new ones before the old ones are used up. For example, do not include a picture that has the current president of the United States in it if he is currently serving his last year of the term.

4. Choose pictures that contribute to your marketing message. You want to use pictures that describe you business better than words can.

5. Tell a story with the pictures in your brochure. Make sure that pictures are placed in a logical order so as not to confuse the reader.
