  1. Step 1

Use keywords throughout your article and in your headline that are frequently searched. The more keywords you use, the higher you'll be placed on each search engine.

  2. Step 2

Use keyword tracker, such as Good Keywords or Word Tracker. This free software allows you to search word combinations to see how many searches each generates. Use these common search words throughout your article.

  3. Step 3

Beef up your meta tags with your keywords. Meta tags are in the head of your html for your web page. Insert your keywords into your meta tags so the search engines will recognize them and will improve the placement on the search engines.

  4. Step 4

Look for changing surges on the web. Common search words change with varying interests and things that are going on in the news.

  5. Step 5

Pay a marketing firm to list you among the search engines. If you want the top search engines quickly, another option is to pay for it. The firm will make sure your article's key words get hits.
