-
-
1
Stamp the designs that you want to put on your candle onto the tissue paper, using a pigmented embossing ink.
-
2
Pour the embossing powder over the ink while it is wet, being careful to cover the entire design. Do this over a sheet of paper to make the clean up easy. Shake the excess powder off the stamped design.
-
3
Use a heat gun to melt the embossing powder. This will create a raised design.
-
4
Cut out the raised design very carefully using an exacto knife.
-
5
Place the cut out embossed design on the candle. If the design won't stick to the candle, use a tiny drop of glue or wet the edges of the paper to make it adhere.
-
6
Plug in the embossing tool and warm the designed area. Hold the tool directly above the tissue paper and about 4 to 6 inches away from the candle. As the wax melts, it will absorb the tissue paper and it will look like the design blends into the candle.
-
7
Eliminate any drips or wax bumps by holding the embossing tool about 6 inches from the candle and running the tool over the areas that needs smoothing.

Tips & Warnings
Rubber stamps that are solid or have clear, bold lines generally work better then those with detailed fine lines.
The best ink to use is pigment ink because it does not dry as fast as other ink.
For an unusual effect, use an embossing powder that is a different color then the ink. The ink can also match the color of the embossing powder.
In order to keep the tissue paper from showing, use paper that is the same shade or s shade lighter then the candle color.
Spread papers over the surface of your work area to protect it.
The tip of the embossing tool gets very hot.
Always tilt the candle away from you when using the embossing tool. This will prevent the melted wax from dripping onto your fingers.
