How to Celebrate National Customer Service Week
National Customer Service Week is celebrated during the first week of October. A relatively new celebration, it was created to raise awareness of the importance of treating your customers well in order to increase and maintain business. It is also a way to recognize the people who work in customer service and to make them feel their jobs are valuable and well respected.

1
Celebrate in your own company by offering Certificates of Appreciation to the employees working in customer service. You can also throw a small party using a theme (red and blue are the colors of customer service) or setting up special games or activities involving the topic of public satisfaction. National Customer Service Week's official logo is a puzzle piece, so you can also create games surrounding that.

2
Send special "thank you" notes to your best customers or to new customers who sign up during this week. If you don't have direct interaction with the public, consider a newsletter and held a drawing or offer a reward to those who subscribe during that week.
-
3
Organize a motivational seminary or workshop for your employees and focus not only on how to improve customer service, but also on techniques to reduce stress and make their jobs easier. The less stressed they are, the better service they will be able to provide to consumers who get in touch with them.

The website offers materials, tips and ideas on how to make the most of the week. It also allows you to sign up for email tips, so you can receive quick ideas right in your mailbox.

5
Follow the five pillars of customer service suggested by the CS Week website: host a celebration, interact with coworkers, host contests or competitions, connect with customers and focus on employee training. By addressing both sides of the customer service issue (providers and consumers), you are more likely to achieve positive results.
