If you want to make like some Roman emperor the next time you compose a calendar, use Roman numerals and months to signify the various dates. All you have to do is perform an easy conversion.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Begin by converting the day of the month. Take the number and make it a Roman numeral. The number 1 is a letter I. The number 2 is II. The number 5 is a V. The number 10 is an X.
Step2
Write the month as the Roman word. The list is as follows: Januarius, Februarius, Martius, Aprilis, Maius, Junius, Julius, Augustus, September, October, November and December.
Step3
Be more accurate and write the words with the Roman alphabet which had no J or U. This would look like the following, Ianvarivs, Febrvarivs, Martivs, Aprilis, Maivs, Ivnivs, Ivlivs, Avgvstvs, September, October, November and December.
Step4
Abbreviate the months using the first 3 letters and use upper case letters. You will notice that in most cases this looks like the abbreviation of the month that we are used to seeing.
Step5
Change the year using Roman numerals.
Step6
Write the 3 elements in order of day, month and year. An example would be XV JUN MCMXLVIII. In modern terms, this would signify June 19, 1998.
