You have downloaded all this music and now you realize the only place you can play it is on your computer. There is an alternative. Make a music CD. When you use Roxio to accomplish this, it makes it a relatively easy task.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Download or buy Roxio if you don't already have it. Many computers come with Roxio, but if you don't have it on your computer there are sites that you can download it from or you can buy it from stores, such as OfficeMax or CompUSA.

  2. Step 2

Start Roxio Creator Basic. After making sure you have it--or installing Roxio if you don't have it--start your Roxio software.

  3. Step 3

Select "Audio" and "Create audio CD" for car or home CD player.

  4. Step 4

Pick "Add music." Find where you have your music stored on your PC.

  5. Step 5

Add the music from files that are stored on your PC or from CDs. If you add from CDs, you need to make sure you have 700 Mb of space.

  6. Step 6

Arrange the music into any order you choose by selecting a song and using the up and down arrows.

  7. Step 7

Use the media information to check if the songs will fit on the CD. If not remove one or more of the songs until your music fits on the CD.

  8. Step 8

Click on the "Action" button and when the CD is created a screen will appear telling you that it is complete. Hit on label disk button to create a label for the CD and then click on "Done" to return to the project window.

  9. Step 9

Remove the CD and play it on any CD player. You have created your Roxio music CD.

Tips & Warnings
  • Removing a song from your play list does not remove it from your hard drive.
  • You need to have label software to create a label for your cd.
  • Most home and car CD players can read CD-R but not CD-RW.
