How to Write a Call to Action Slide
Whether it's to close a sale or to motivate your audience, the call to action slide is the most important part of a PowerPoint presentation. If your customer does not make a purchase or the audience does not act as you request, the whole presentation has been a waste of your time and theirs.

1
Plan the PowerPoint presentation. Each slide should build to the call to action slide. Use a storyboard to help you propel your presentation forward in a logical manner.
-
2
Design each slide so that it's a call to action slide in and of itself. Whether the action is a simple as clicking "Next" or something that requires more thought than action, your audience comes to expect that they need to do something at the end of each slide in the presentation.
-
3
Frame out where the text and graphics should go on the slide on a piece of paper or the computer. The call to action should be the most prominent part of the screen. Anything else on the call to action screen is clutter and a distraction.
-
4
Use color to your advantage in a PowerPoint presentation. Warm colors inspire action.
-
5
Write the call to action slide so that is has a clear, concise message. You want people to follow your call to action, not marvel at your artistic skills.
-
6
Prepare the entire presentation in second person. Make your call to action all about your customer. If they see the benefit to them, then you have the result you want for your presentation-a sale.
-
7
Run the PowerPoint presentation in front of a test audience. Make note of their suggestions. Don't assume you have an excellent presentation with no flaws. Glaring mistakes that you make can cost you sales.
