If you want to revise an eBay auction after bidding opens on the auction you will be limited on the revisions you will be allowed to make. The only things that you are allowed to do to an auction after bidding has begun is to add optional features and to add to your item description.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log into your eBay account.

  2. Step 2

Go to your "My eBay" page and click on the "Selling" link under the "All Selling" column. You will find this on the left side of the page under "My eBay Views."

  3. Step 3

Find the auction that you wish to revise.

  4. Step 4

Choose "Revise" from the pull down menu to the right of the auction title in the "Action" column.

  5. Step 5

Add to your auction description in the box labeled "Add to Description" or choose the optional features you want to add to your auction.

  6. Step 6

Click "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the page.

  7. Step 7

Review your changes to the auction. If you added to your auction description you may wish to click on "Preview Your Listing" at the bottom of the page to make sure you are happy with your changes. Click the "Save Changes" button.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can not change the title or alter your original auction description after bid opens on your auction.
  • You can not change the category that an auction is listed in after bids have been placed. You can, however, add a second category even if bidding has begun. The listing fees for the auction will double when a second category is added.
