InuYasha comics, usually referred to as "manga" (the Japanese term for printed cartoons), are widely available at specialized hobby and anime stores, from larger book retailers and on the Internet. Since its print debut in 1996, InuYasha has grown to become one of the most popular Japanese-comic franchises on the planet, with over 50 manga volumes available.

    Find Sources of InuYasha Comics

  1. Step 1

Get to know the anime and manga expert at your local hobby or collectibles store. Not only will it likely prove to be one of the best and most reliable places to find the latest InuYasha comics, it may also prove to be a very good way to get knowledgeable, in-person service to answer any questions you might have about InuYasha manga.

  2. Step 2

Go to the nearest well-established book retailer. Frequently, larger bookstores will feature a comics or graphic-novel section, if they don't outright have special sections devoted to manga. Because of the global popularity of the InuYasha series, you're likely to find at least the latest volumes available for sale.

  3. Step 3

Shop online. Just take care to protect the privacy of your credit card account if you use it to complete an online purchase.

  4. Step 4

Get the latest English-language InuYasha comics releases by visiting Viz Media's official InuYasha website (see Resources below).

  5. Buy InuYasha Comics

  6. Step 1

Get to know how the InuYasha publishers collect the manga chapters: each volume contains roughly 8 to 10 chapters of the story. Each one is about 180 pages long.

  7. Step 2

Start at the beginning if you're new to the series. The first InuYasha volume is called "Turning Back Time" in English.

  8. Step 3

Remember that there is a wealth of other media that tells the InuYasha storyline. The manga series was followed by an anime series, though the anime version ceased production before the story in the manga series reached its end. There are also four feature-length films, featuring different storylines that are available on DVD, as well as a number of video games in which enthusiasts can play along in the InuYasha universe.

Tips & Warnings
  • Viz Media, the publisher of the American version of the InuYasha comics, is several years behind the Japanese InuYasha manga releases. Thus, the very latest issues in the InuYasha series are not available in English.
