MTV's The Real World is a dramafilled reality show based on 7 strangers picked to live together and be filmed 24 hours a day for 4 months. Want to be a part of the fun? Send your recruit application to MTV and watch the drama unfold as you apply to be on MTV's The Real World.

Instructions

    Ways to Try Out

  1. Step 1

    Go online to the MTV website and and click on "Be on MTV."

  2. Step 2

    Explore cities where casting calls will be held.

  3. Step 3

    Apply by email or mail in an audition tape. Only send one email to the directors. If you have been to a casting call or have sent in a home tape, do not send another application by email.

  4. Email

  5. Step 1

    Send an email to MTV Real World Casting Directors.

  6. Step 2

    Include your subject heading as "Recruiting Request [name of your city here]".

  7. Step 3

    Compose an email with the following personal details: Full name, age, birth date, contact information and a phone number.

  8. Step 4

    Attach a photo of yourself.

  9. Step 5

    Write a brief bio about yourself. Tell the directors something interesting about you and why they should chose you to be on the show.

  10. Step 6

    Wait for a follow-up interview to be scheduled.

  11. Audition Tape

  12. Step 1

    Create a 5-minute unique and original casting tape about you.

  13. Step 2

    Submit your audition as a VHS or VHS C. They will also accept Mini DV and HI-8.

  14. Step 3

    Send your 5-minute casting tape to the address provided online.

  15. Step 4

    Label package with attention to Real World/Road Rules Casting.

  16. Myspace

  17. Step 1

    Sign into to your Myspace account or create a new account.

  18. Step 2

    Search by keyword MTV's The Real World Myspace account.

  19. Step 3

    Check out the "Casting agency" to submit audition.

  20. Step 4

    Use "Blog" to post questions and request to submit audition info.

Tips & Warnings
  • You must be 18 to 24 to apply.
  • Absolutely no DVD's or CD ROMS will be accepted.
