Promoting a new scrapbooking class is a great way to connect experienced scrapbookers and beginners. All students can try something new and learn how to scrapbook by using different ideas. Promote your class to encourage all levels of scrapbookers to join in the fun.

From Quick Guide: Scrapbooking 101
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start promoting at least two months in advance to the class. With a couple of months advance notice, scrapbookers will have plenty of time to prepare photos and supplies.

  2. Step 2

Establish a source of consistent communication. Create an online website, email, blog or postcards. Be sure that whichever method you chose is convenient and accessible.

  3. Step 3

Create a flyer, sign, postcard or invitation that can be used to pass out, mail or post to promote the class.

  4. Step 4

Invite friends and family. Start with the people who are the closest to you.

  5. Step 5

Expand beyond family and friends. Encourage them to bring a friend.

  6. Step 6

Inform craft or scrapbooking stores about the class, so that they may inform their shoppers.

  7. Step 7

Post bulletins at the gym, grocery store, craft centers, offices or schools.

  8. Step 8

Connect with a local photo center. Try some cross-marketing with a local photo business to promote the class, and in turn, you can promote their business to your class.

  9. Step 9

Publish an ad in a local women's magazine or newsletter.

  10. Step 10

Inform women's organizations such as MOPS, Bible studies or churches.

  11. Step 11

Use word of mouth to promote your class. Word of mouth is the strongest source of advertising.
