    Make the Giraffe Body

  1. Step 1

Fold a rectangular piece of paper in half and then unfold it.

  2. Step 2

Take the top corners and fold them down to the crease you made in Step 1, then fold the bottom edge up to make a boat shape.

  3. Step 3

Turn the boat shape over so it looks like a hat. Fold this in half to make a boot shape.

  4. Step 4

Use another rectangular piece of paper to make another boot shape.

  5. Making the Giraffe Legs

  6. Step 1

Fold one rectangular piece of paper in half and then unfold it.

  7. Step 2

Take both sides of the paper and fold it to the center crease, then fold this in half so you have one long strip.

  8. Step 3

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 three more times to make four legs in total.

  9. Make the Giraffe Neck

  10. Step 1

Fold your paper like you did in Section 2. This time unfold it one time after you've made all the other folds.

  11. Step 2

Bend the top corners to the center crease.

  12. Step 3

Fold the paper in half longways.

  13. Making the Giraffe Head

  14. Step 1

Make another boat shape with another piece of paper.

  15. Step 2

Fold the boat shape in half to make a chair shape.

  16. Step 3

Fold the left corner up and then unfold it.

  17. Step 4

Tuck the left corner in and turn the paper ninety degrees counterclockwise.

  18. Step 5

Take the pointed end of the shape and fold it in.

  19. Make the Giraffe Tail

  20. Step 1

Fold a paper in half and then unfold it.

  21. Step 2

Fold the sides into the crease. Fold them in again to make a sheath shape.

  22. Step 3

Fold the sheath in half longways to make a skinny stick.

  23. Put the Giraffe Together

  24. Step 1

Slide the two boot shapes together and glue them in place.

  25. Step 2

Put the pointy end of the neck into the head you made.

  26. Step 3

Insert the legs into the pockets of the body with the single edges down.

  27. Step 4

Glue everything in place and your origami giraffe is finished.
