    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Honey
    • Liquid soap
    • Glycerin
    • Container with lid
      • 1

Select a natural honey for this homemade facial cleanser. Honey has antimicrobial properties that kill harmful bacteria, and it's also a powerful antioxidant that helps to prevent free radical damage. Honey's skin-softening properties have been known for centuries.

      • 2

Check to see that the glycerin you use has impurities removed. Glycerin will help to remoisturize the skin since it attracts moisture to the skin while drawing moisture from the air. Glycerin dissolves many ingredients that other solvents won't, allowing the mixture to blend easily.

      • 3

Choose a mild liquid soap appropriate for facial cleansing. A mild castile soap is a good choice.

      • 4

Blend 1/8 cup honey, 1/4 cup glycerin and 1 1/2 teaspoon mild liquid soap in a small bowl. Mix these 3 ingredients until they are well blended.

      • 5

Sterilize a container by boiling it. Add your homemade facial cleanser to the container.

      • 6

Pour into your hands or on a face buff, soft cloth or face sponge to gently scrub away residue and moisturize at the same time. Your skin will feel both clean and soft from this gentle homemade cleanser.
