How to Make Halloween Party Sangria

When summer is over and the cool days of autumn arrive, it's time to start planning a super scary Halloween party. No Halloween party is complete without a cauldron of blood with floating eyeballs. Stir up some delicious gruesomely Halloween Party Sangria, and don't forget a non-alcoholic version for the younger set. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 bottle inexpensive red wine
  • 2 oranges
  • 4 peaches, divided into quarters (or other soft fruit)
  • 1 dozen large seedless grapes
  • 5 tsp. sugar
  • Lemon
  • 2 lbs. dry ice.
  • 2 bottles Merlot red wine
  • 15 oz. cranberry juice or frozen cranberry juice concentrate
  • 4 oz. rum
  • 1 cup green grapes, peeled
  • 2 bottles of golden or red ginger ale
  • 1 cup green grapes, peeled.

  1. Witches Halloween Sangria

      Mix the wine and sugar in a large bowl.

      Peel the oranges, divide them into sections and squeeze the juice into the bowl. Drop the mashed pieces into the punch.

      Peel the peaches and cut them into quarters. Squeeze them slightly to make them look more "mangled" and add them to the bowl. If peaches are out of season, any soft in-season fruit will work.

      Chill the sangria in the refrigerator overnight, or until well chilled.

      Serve in a punch bowl with a few slices of lemon and some chunks of dry ice.

      Mix the juice, wine and rum until well mixed.
