There's just something about a great pair of boots that can make a woman feel sexy. If your legs are thick, however, finding mid calf and knee high boots that fit can be a shopping nightmare. There are, however, great plus size boots out there that look just as sexy as regular boots. Here's how to find them.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shop online. The best way to find plus size boots is to shop via the Internet. There are a lot of sites with a decent selection of "plus size," "wide shaft," or "plus calf" boots. Look for these keywords as you shop. If the item description doesn't specify a plus calf, assume that it's not and move on.

  2. Step 2

Pick a wearable heel. Sure a four-inch stiletto heel looks sexy, but when you have a little more to carry on that stiletto, it makes walking slow, painful, and unsteady. People notice this far more than that cute little heel when you're out. Opt for a slight wedge, a heel with a wider base, or a two-inch kitten heel to maintain comfort and balance.

  3. Step 3

Avoid flats or booties unless you'll be wearing them with bootcut pants that have enough length to keep from riding up or creating a "flood pant" look. Generally, if you have thick legs or ankles, a bootie will be extremely unflattering no matter what, so don't buy them. Go for a mid calf or knee high boot instead.

  4. Step 4

Choose something with structure and details at the top of the shaft and at the top of the ankle to create the most attractive curve. Pair knee high boots with hose or opaque tights for a streamlined effect.
