How to Play Anagrams
Anagrams are simple yet challenging word puzzles. They have been played around the world for centuries and today can be found in many daily newspapers, puzzle books and on numerous websites. A true anagram rearranges the letters of one word or phrase into another word or phrase that in some way relates to the original. There are also variations of anagrams that challenge your ability to arrange random letters into words or phrases. Read on to learn more.

1
Read the topic heading. Remember the answer to your clue will relate to this topic.
-
2
Make a list of words related to the topic to help identify common letters in both the clue and the possible answer. If your topic is "Beatles Songs" you'll list as many songs by the Beatles as you can.

-
3
Compare the clues to your list and find two with similar letters. Pay special attention to uncommon letters like "q, v, x, y, z" and letters that appear more than once. It will be easier to identify these letters in both the clues and your list of answers.
-
4
Rearrange the original letters into a new word or phrase. You can only use the letters in your answer the same number of times they appear in the original. For instance, if the given words are "Clint Eastwood" you must use "o" and "t" twice in your answer and the rest of the letters only once. (The answer to this anagram is "Old West action").
