Making the playoffs in fantasy football is based largely on how your league is set up. It may be organized so that all teams are automatically in the playoffs. In this case, the regular season is just used for seeding the playoffs. Alternatively, it could be set up so that only the top four teams are in the playoffs. Consider Fantasy Football Playoff Strategies

1. Win all or most of your games. If you do this you will usually be seeding in the top four of your league and will get an automatic berth in the playoffs. Of course, this may be easier said than done.
2. Pay attention to injuries and to good and bad play. Do this not only for your team's players but also for players on the undrafted list. You might want to pick up someone to replace a bad player on your team.
3. Keep track of bye weeks so you always have a full roster playing. If you switch players or pick up someone undrafted, be sure that the player does not have the same bye weeks as someone in the same position already on your team.
4. Watch real-life player match-ups. If you are up against a weaker team than usual, it might be a good idea to switch your bench and starter players before that week's deadline for rosters. The weaker player playing the worse team might earn you more points and help you win that week.
5. Do not panic. If a player is not doing well, don't worry about him playing badly all season and ruining your chances to make the playoffs. Usually, a player will bounce back, but if he doesn't, use the undrafted players list. Moving players each week helps in the long run. This is especially true if you can "predict" the performance of the player you are picking up, and guess whether he will earn you more points.

• Keep an eye on the undrafted player list for other fantasy football teams dropping players. They may not know something you do and might get rid of someone who you know can win you games and help you make the playoffs.
• Trade players to your advantage. It is usually helpful to change players throughout the season and to have players that are valuable for you to trade with other teams in your league.
