Many people have multiple email accounts whether it's because they switched Internet providers or changed their email address. It's a hassle to check multiple accounts every day or to contact everyone and tell them that you've changed email addresses. If you have Comcast and Hotmail accounts, you can use your Comcast email to check your Hotmail account and save a few steps. Read on to find out how.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign in to your Comcast email account. Click on "Mailbox Manager" on the left hand side of the screen.

  2. Step 2

Choose "Add Mailbox." This is located on the right hand side of the screen underneath your mailbox name.

  3. Step 3

Click on "External" as the type of email account and select "POP3" for the email server because that's the type of server that Hotmail has.

  4. Step 4

Input your email server and email address. This has to be a current Hotmail account in order for you to set it up to be checked by your Comcast email.

  5. Step 5

Type in the username and password for your Hotmail account. The password will be stored as an encrypted version in your Comcast email account. Click "Save."

  6. Step 6

Check your Hotmail account by clicking on "My Mailboxes" on the left hand side of the page and then selecting your Hotmail account.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't yet have a Hotmail account then log on to hotmail.com and select "Sign Up" on the left hand side of the screen. You can opt for the free account or for the account that has a small yearly fee for larger storage.
