If you're a football fan and have dreamed of attending a Super Bowl but could never get tickets, there is a way to get to the game: be a Super Bowl volunteer. It takes thousands of people to make things run smoothly at a Super Bowl, from parking attendants to vendors. Many of these are volunteer positions. Get ready to cheer your team on.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Complete the Super Bowl Host Committee volunteer application, which you can find online. Sign up early to help ensure a spot; volunteer positions fill up quickly.

  2. Step 2

Meet the age requirement. All Super Bowl volunteers must be at least 18 years old. A driver's license is required as proof of age. There are no limitations or discrimination based on sex, race, religion or disability.

  3. Step 3

Agree to a background check. Provide your Social Security number, birth date and place and your driver's license for the background check. Sign a volunteer release, an indemnification agreement and a waiver of liability.

  4. Step 4

Attend a mandatory weekend or evening information session and training session. Also, attend the general pep rally and the required volunteer orientation.

  5. Step 5

Prepare to work two 4-hour shifts, possibly more, in any given area, which include hospitality, transportation, office operations or hotel services. Follow the schedule given to you that tells you where and when to report.

  6. Step 6

Provide your own transportation. Park in assigned volunteer locations.

  7. Step 7

Wear the required uniforms for your assignment.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Super Bowl doesn't provide tickets to volunteers.
  • Don't expect to see the Super Bowl as a volunteer; no volunteer positions are available inside the stadium on game day.
