How to Transfer Data From a Samsung BlackJack to a Computer

The Samsung BlackJack cell phone uses the Microsoft ActiveSync to synchronize information between the computer and itself. The Samsung OEM data cable also allows you to charge your phone through the use of an USB port on your personal computer or laptop.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Samsung BlackJack cell phone
  • OEM data cable
  • ActiveSync install CD
  1. Step 1

    Purchase the Samsung OEM Data Cable which includes the ActiveSync install CD from a reputable dealer.

  2. Step 2

    Install ActiveSync on your computer by inserting the CD and an install window should automatically appear. Close all programs before installing any new software.

  3. Step 3

    Plug in the OEM data cable to a USB port on your personal computer or your laptop.

  4. Step 4

    Insert the appropriate end of the cable into your Samsung BlackJack cell phone.

  5. Step 5

    Watch as the ActiveSync program begins to transfer data from your Samsung BlackJack phone to your computer. Options in ActiveSync will allow you to customize what data you wish to transfer.

  6. Step 6

    Close the ActiveSync window when done. Go to Microsoft Outlook to view your data that has been transferred to your computer.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can purchase this data cable on many web sites. Just be sure it is compatible with the Samsung BlackJack phone.
  • It's always a good idea to print a hard copy or burn a CD of any backup information you don't want to lose. Computers always crash at the wrong time.
