How to Distribute Information Products
People want their information heard by the public, but many don't know how to get the word out. You can distribute your information products in a variety of forms. Here are some suggestions.

1
Decide what one type of information products you want to distribute. Pick one area of expertise and stick with it. Taking on too many projects at once only complicates things.
-
2
Search online for information to put on your products to distribute. Use a Google or Yahoo! search to do this. Also, search for other groups that distribute this information. You could team up with them.
-
-
3
Brainstorm your ideas for products and the information on them. Be as specific as possible and write down every idea that comes to mind.
-
4
Organize your information using folders, files and your computer. Sort the information into categories such as "Information for Flyers," "Information for Commercials" and "Hand Outs."
-
5
Contact your local news stations or radio stations about buying time slots during regular programming. Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper, in hopes of being published.
-
6
Type or write out your speeches, television commercials and radio campaigns. Make prototypes of your brochures, flyers, mailers, pins and bumper stickers.
-
7
Visit a store like Kinko's to make your brochures and flyers come to life. Planet Label and Vista Print also can help make other informational products.
-
8
Distribute your information by alerting the mass media, mailing out informational products, canvassing your area with flyers or giving out free bumper stickers.
