This is a game that adults and children as young as 2 or 3 can play. The object of the game is to get as many cards as you can into the hat. The following steps will show you how to flip playing cards into a hat.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of cards
  • Hat
  • Players
  1. Step 1

Hand out an even amount of cards to each player.

  2. Step 2

Place any hat 5 to 15 feet away. If you don't have a hat, use a large bowl or a small box.

  3. Step 3

Decide who goes first. A good way to determine this is to have the youngest goes first, and then continue to the oldest.

  4. Step 4

Make a line on the floor with tape or rope. You may need to make several lines if you have different ages playing. Have players stand on the line to throw the cards.

  5. Step 5

Take turns tossing the cards into the hat. To throw a card, hold the corner of the card between the thumb and pointer finger so that your thumb is on the top of the card.

  6. Step 6

You may continue your turn until you miss, or if you cross over the start line to throw a card. The next player takes a turn when someone misses.

  7. Step 7

Count how many cards you have gotten into the hat for each turn. Continue taking turns until everyone has run out of cards. Win the game by getting the most cards into the hat.
