Christmas in New York City is just not complete without a visit to the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. The show-stopping production features the legendary Rockettes and a cast of colorful characters. Read on to learn how to see the Radio Christmas Spectacular.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Plan your trip. The Christmas Spectacular only shows for six weeks. This usually falls from just before Thanksgiving until December 30. Check with your ticket agent for specific dates.

  2. Step 2

Purchase your tickets. You can do this online or by calling Ticketmaster. Purchase early as these tickets sell out.

  3. Step 3

Prepare for your trip. New York City in November and December can be cold, so dress appropriately. While there is no dress code for Radio City Music Hall, they do ask that you use your best judgment.

  4. Step 4

Arrange for transportation to and from the Christmas Spectacular. Parking is an issue in the city. Make use of a limo or cab service to get you to and from your hotel.

  5. Step 5

Arrive early. You don't want to be looking for your seat as the performance begins. Christmas Spectacular shows are crowded. Plan accordingly.

  6. Step 6

Enjoy the show. This is a show well worth going to. While the production is different each year, it always spreads holiday cheer.

Tips & Warnings
  • For the Christmas Spectacular cameras are allowed, but they do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the performance. Video cameras are strictly prohibited.
  • If you cannot make it to New York City at Christmas, there is a traveling version called Christmas Across America.
  • Performances are rarely canceled. Tickets are sold as non-refundable and non-exchangeable. The Radio City Music Hall website has current information on performances during inclement weather.
