If you don't know where to look, it can be hard to locate quality business clothing in plus sizes. Most places that sell business clothes don't cater to plus size people. However, if you know where to look, you can easily buy plus size business clothes that are both fairly priced and stylish.

Things You'll Need:

  • Tape measure
  1. Step 1

Set a budget for buying your business clothes. While business clothes are important, you don't want to spend more money than you can afford. You also need to decide what types of business clothes to order. Consider your office environment. If it is very corporate, you will need three or four suits, as well as slacks and blouses. If it is more business casual, you can buy one suit and several separates or dresses.

  2. Step 2

Take your measurements using a tape measure. If you are going to be ordering your clothes online, you will need to know your exact measurements. Measure your bust, waist and hip size, and write down the information for reference.

  3. Step 3

Shop various online retailers that cater to selling business clothes to plus sizes people. Shopping online will provide you with the greatest selection of clothing. One of the best places to shop for plus size clothes online is the Fashion Bug website (see Resources below). In addition to having very reasonable prices, the business clothing is very stylish. You can also check out the Lane Bryant website and the Avenue website, both of which specialize in plus size clothing (see Resources below).

  4. Step 4

Find clothing in your size and price range using the search feature on the website. Don't purchase the clothes unless you can find them in your size. Buying a size too big or a size too small is more hassle than it's worth. If you can't find your specific size, move on to a different item or a different store.

  5. Step 5

Place your order following the instructions on the website. Enter your shipping and billing information, including your credit card details. Most retailers can send you the clothes that you've ordered within a week.

  6. Step 6

Check the clothes when you receive them to be sure they fit and you are satisfied with what you've ordered. Most retailers have a return policy, but you must return the clothes in new condition and within the specified time frame.
