• White carnations
• Green food coloring
• Baby's breath
• White flowers
• Vase

1. Cut fresh white carnations about 6 inches below the flower. Be sure to cut the stem at an angle. Set the flowers aside on a clean surface.

2. Add a few drops of green food coloring to some water in a vase. The more green drops you add, the more green hue the flowers will pick up.

3. Place the fresh carnations in the vase. Put the vase with the carnations in the refrigerator overnight. This keeps the flowers looking fresh and vibrant. The magic will happen all on its own.

4. Remove the flowers from the refrigerator in the morning. You should see that the green food coloring has seeped up into the petals of the carnations. The veins of the petals look darker green. You can buy green carnations, but that is not nearly as much fun, and it doesn't look as neat.
