How to Lead a Grand March at a Wedding

A wedding is a joyous time and getting all the guest involved in your new life together is great. One way to do that is during the reception to have a Grand March. Here's are some steps to successfully get all to participant. The key is starting it off with a lot of energy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Wedding party
• DJ
• Music
• Energy

1. 
   Here' s an example

   Starting with the Bride and Groom, the wedding party, family, friends and then every one else forms a tunnel facing each other with their hands raised above their heads and palms facing each other.

2. The Bride and groom will pass through the tunnel with the others following suit until the tunnel has totally clasped into itself. (Added Fun: Some of the guest can capture the Bride and Groom as they pass through the tunnel and they will have to kiss the one that captured them to be released).

3. 
   Looks like fun to me

   Once the Bride and Groom make it to the end of the tunnel the Bride will go to the left and the groom to the right. The women will follow the Bride and the men will follow the Groom. These single lines will circle the outside of the dance floor until they meet.

4. 
   Line of Couples in procession

   Then as the meet two by two they will walk to the other side of the dance floor and then returning to the starting point. ( One couple to the left and one couple to the right and so on.) They will then double up. For example one couple will now add a second couple) They will repeat last direction and add another two couples to double the part of four to eight.

5. Once they have reach the eight they will begin to reverse the process. Meaning the line of eight when they return to the starting point will break down into two lines of four one going to the left and one going to the right and so on back down to the single lines.

6. the single lines will once again join together and this time when they come back to form one complete line the bride and groom will walk to the center and the circle will close in around them. Once the Bride and Groom are in the center of the center. The Circle of (boy/girl/boy/girl) will walk into the center and back out again. (you may do this several times) but once it is done. the music stops and everyone claps. This can lead the first dance or a money dance. Some have had the first dance with the circle of people watching in their places.

7. Finally let all the guest join in the dancing fun. Have fun it was made to get everyone involved.
